The Aesthetics Network — Privacy Policy Version 2026-07-17 (draft — pending legal review) This policy explains how The Aesthetics Network ("the Network", "we") handles your personal data in the app, under UK GDPR. 1. What we collect • Account: name, email, password (stored as a secure hash by our provider). • Professional verification: your profession and professional registration/PIN number, used solely to verify you are a registered UK medical professional. • Consent records: the date, time and version of the Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted, your 18+ confirmation, and your marketing preference. • Profile: photo, bio, location, website and interests you choose to add. • Content: posts, comments, messages and other content you create in the community. • Technical: device information and crash/error reports needed to keep the app working. 2. Why we use it (lawful bases) • To provide the community service you've joined — contract. • To verify professional registration before granting access — legitimate interest in keeping the community medics-only, and your consent at application. • To send marketing communications — only with your separate opt-in consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings. • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse — legitimate interest. • To meet legal obligations, including responding to data-subject rights requests. 3. Where your data lives Your data is stored with Supabase in the EU (Paris region). Crash reports may be processed by Sentry. We do not sell your data. 4. Who can see what Your profile is visible to verified members of the community once you are approved. Until then, only you and our staff reviewing your application can see it. Direct messages are private to their participants; Staff access to conversations is restricted and audit-logged. 5. How long we keep it Your data is kept while your account is active. If your application is rejected, we retain the minimum needed to record the decision. When you delete your account, your profile is deleted or anonymised and your uploaded media is removed. 6. Your rights You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Delete your account any time from Profile → Delete account. For anything else, contact us and we'll respond within one month. 7. Contact hello@thenursesnetwork.co.uk You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
